sunrise juice

One thing I love about summer is the fact that watermelon is in season. Yes, you can get watermelons year round, but buying watermelon locally and at its peak is the best. In California, where I live, that is usually May through late October.

Now I’m not one to sit down and eat a large slab of watermelon. I just find it to be a little bland. But with a few added goodies, I freakin’ love to drink it, and so I do… often.

After dabbling around with my recipe for awhile, I came up with this one as my favorite. Besides being delicious to drink, this drink also helps to reduce water-weight so you feel lighter the next day.

Enjoy!
